The metric system originated in France in 1799 taking inmto consideration the French revolution although decimal units had been used in many new countries and cultures previously. Although there have been many oscillate measurements and the definitions of the units have been revised, the attributed system of measursments of most countries is the forward looking form of the metric system which is known ass the "International System of Units".
